Privacy policy

OCI MySQL Backup is a private utility operated by its owner for that owner's database backups. It is not offered as a service to other users.

Access and purpose

The utility requests Google's drive.file permission to create, read, update, and remove only files created by the app or explicitly selected by the owner. It uses file metadata, checksums, and aggregate storage-quota information to upload and verify backups and manage the owner's chosen retention.

Storage and protection

Backup archives are encrypted locally before upload to the owner's Google Drive. Google stores the uploaded archives under its own service terms. OAuth credentials are kept in protected operator configuration; encryption recovery material is stored separately from the uploaded archives. The owner controls backup retention and deletion.

Use and sharing

Google user data is used only to provide this backup functionality. It is not sold, used for advertising, or used to train AI models. Backups are not made public or shared with other users by the utility. Data may be disclosed only as necessary for this storage functionality, with the owner's explicit authorization, or as required by law.

The use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Owner controls

The owner can stop the utility, remove its local credentials, revoke authorization through Google Account connections, and remove backup files from Google Drive. Revoking authorization stops future access; it does not automatically delete previously uploaded archives.

These pages

These informational pages contain no backups, OAuth credentials, or sign-in forms. They use no application analytics or advertising cookies. The hosting provider may process ordinary web-request information under its own privacy policy. The support contact for the private utility is shown on Google's OAuth consent screen.
